Minister

I am delighted to welcome you to the Netherlorn Church website – whatever reason you had for finding us, I hope the pages found within answer some questions you may have about our congregation, and assure you of a warm welcome should you wish to come and join us – in our worship, in our congregational life, in our communities which the church serves.

Having been minister here since November 2023, I can vouch for the welcome and hospitality shown by the people of Netherlorn. Our congregation strives to be an inclusive one, in which all are guaranteed a welcome. We are all children of God, no matter what our age, our skills, no matter where we come from, no matter what questions or doubts we may have. We endeavour to provide a place where these questions may be asked, and in which you may find a home and in which you may know you are loved and valued. That to me is church, and I hope you find this as you meet us and explore our pages on this website.

We operate under the Unitary Constitution and have a Kirk Session of 17 Elders.

The Church of Scotland has a deep concern for the wholeness and wellbeing of each individual.

Through its Congregations, working together with the Safeguarding Service and statutory agencies, the Church seeks to safeguard the welfare of all people who come into contact with the Church and its services.

The Gospel proclaims that it’s the responsibility of everyone within the fellowship of the Church to prevent harm, be it physical, sexual or emotional, and we will always seek to reduce risk.
